Mt. Talamitam in Nasugbu, Batangas is a perfect training ground for beginners. The trail is easy and will take an approximate of 1.5 to 2.5 hours to complete the trek up to the summit. The time will depend on your pace. The mountain is also considered as the sister mountain of Mt. Batulao, which you can see from the terrain of Talamitam.

Jump - off : Sitio Bayabasan, Brgy. Aga, Nasugbu

Height - 630 MASL

Specs: Minor climb

Difficulty 3/9

Trail class 1-3

So what’s with Mt. Talamitam and what sets it apart from the rest? Here’s a quick overview:

The challenge starts when you reach the plateau where the peak of Talamitam sits. The are is an open area and there's no tree cover. It can be very exhausting hike if the sun is up. I suggest you to bring enough water and have your sunblock on.

This is what they called Teletubbyland. Well we weren't able to see Tinky-Winky, Dipsy, Laa Laa and Po (haha) but we got the chance to get up close with the horses, carabaos and goats along the trail. From here, you can see the summit of Talamitam.

Our final leg up to the summit. It was so hot that day. Honestly the trail is ok, it's the direct heat of the sun that made us so exhausted.

Nevertheless, we were rewarded by this beautiful view. So awesome, right? ^_^

After spending enough time to the summit, we decided to descend. We had a quick refresher at the Layong Bato also known as Layong Bilog a portion of the Galo River near Brgy. Aga. We just had a quick dip and relax on the cool river water.

This is our itinerary from our Mt. Talamitam trip.
