Me and my sister was invited by her friends to join them in their hike to traverse Mt. Maculot. This mountain has three parts : THE ROCKIES that elevates at 706 MASL,known as the "sub-summit". Second, THE SUMMIT which elavates at 930 MASL and the third is THE GROTTO at the traverse part of the mountain.

We registered at the Brgy. Hall, where we listed our names, address and contact numbers. We also paid for the registration fee of Php 20.00 per head. It is also required to have a guide for the hiker's safety. After all the preparations, we started the trek.

The trail is challenging, good thing there's a lot of stop-overs where we took our time resting as we catch our breath.

There were parts of the trail, where we need to pull ourselves with the ropes.

Since we will traverse the mountain, the first goal was to reach the Rockies. But before we reached it, we arrived first at the campsite. Here is also where we ate our lunch. The picture below was when we started going to the Rockies.

THE ROCKIES - This is the famous part of the mountain. It has a breath taking view. The picture below is at the other side of the Rockies. It will give you the view of Taal Lake.

THE SUMMIT - The trail going to the summit is more elevated and inclined. And there is no tree cover so, expect a direct sunlight when you arrived there.

THE GROTTO - From the summit, we decided to descend going to the Grotto. This is the last part of the traverse.
