Taiwan Blog Day 1: North Coast Tour (Yehliu Geopark, Juifen and Shifen)

For our first day, we decided to avail a tour package from Klook. We planned to do it DIY at first, but because we arrived 1:00 AM in the morning that day we chose the convenient way to explore Taiwan's North Coast.

You can use the Klook link below to book. Just type-in the name of the deal. - Yehliu Geopark, Jiufen, and Shifen Shuttle Bus from Ximen (with Tour Conductor). The price is Php 989.00 each.

Here are the places we visited:

Yehliu Geopark - It is full of seaw ater-eroded holes as well as different rock formations in the shape of mushrooms, candle, chessboard, ginger, queen's head and a lot more.

YIN YANG SEA - A beautiful "natural" contrast - a mix of yellow and blue. Yellow from the runoff from mining meets the blue ocean.

13 LAYERS REMAIN - These are abandoned mining buildings turned to be a tourist spot.

GOLDEN WATERFALLS - Nope! It doesn't have golds. The water of it contains high level of toxic due to its proximity to the nearby gold mining area. The color of it, is in near gold color that's why it is called Golden waterfall.

JUIFEN OLD STREET - This is were we had our lunch. There's a lot of street foods, restaurants and milk-teas.

Shifen Suspension Bridge

Shifen Waterfalls

Shifen Old Street

We paid for 180 NTD for 4 colors lantern. Each color has a meaning. We chose Red, Blue, Orange and Yellow.

We can't show what we wrote on the other colors because it has our secret wishes. :)

We had fun on this tour organized by Klook! Thanks to our tour conductor Ms Kathy, for the very fun & informative flow of the tour. I will definitely recommend this to my friends. So many spots we visited in just one day for a great value of price!
