Taiwan Day 3: Meteor Garden Filming Location - Ying De University

Writer's picture: sayaramaesayaramae

I am so excited to share this to everybody. For me, the highlight of our Taiwan Trip. Reminiscing my childhood fan-girling moment. Probably the very first time I ever fan-girl over something or someone.

Music Play:

Oh Baby Baby Baby My Baby Baby Wo Jue Bu Neng Shi Qu Ni Ni Shou Xin Ni Sheng Ying Hai Zhan Lin Wo De Xin Zen Neng Wang Ji Xiang Ni Jiu Xiang Shi Hu Xi

Myyygaaaad! I can still remember the song! The feels!... OMG... Ok let's start. This 3rd day of our trip, we went to "Ying De University" of Meteor Garden or "National Chung Cheng University" in real life. According to my research they also film in "National Taiwan University" in Taipei, but most of the noticeable scenes and 80% of the school scenes was shot in "National Chung Cheng University".

Meteor Garden was aired in the Philippines way back in 2003.

How to get to National Chung Cheng Univesity:

From Taipei Main Station, we took the THSR (TRA is also an option if your in a budget -  but takes a longer time) going to Chiayi THSR Station. Then, since we are a group of 3, we decided to take a cab (30 mins) for TWD 500 and split the fare into 3. But cheaper way is to ride a bus #106 which will take 1 hour and a half to get there.

Then going back to Chiayi THSR Station, we tried the cheaper way. We rode a bus # 106.

When we get there, with so much excitement -  we immediately explore the area. Let me take you to my trip down to memory lane. Here are the filming spots that we were able to visit.

Disclaimer: The pictures cut from the original scenes are not mine. Photo credit to the owners.

1. The rooftop where Huā Zé Lèi always sits.

These scenes were take from the top of the school's admin building.

 2. The area where F4 graduated.

This is on the school's open area.

3. The canteen where F4 always stays.

We stayed for a while inside. It was so quite when we get there, maybe because we visited on a Saturday.

 4. The pathway where Sanchai walks going to her class.

Barbie Xui aka Sanchai walked here. OMG!!!!

 5. How can I forgot the scene, where Dao Min Si or Jerry Yan in real life kissed Sanchai.

I have to take a photo here. ^_^

 6. When Sanchai and her friend Shing He was trying to get away with the bullies. And of course, F4. 😍

These scenes where taken at the schools gymnasium.

 7. Just in front of it, is the Tanquility Lake.

 8. The agawan scene.

 9. And lastly, Sanchai's famous locker.

A true fan knows Sanchai's locker number..... Yes! It's locker #150.

This is so overwhelming. I can't believe I'm actually at the place where my childhood favorite drama series was filmed. F4 and  Sanchai stands to where I was standing. Ahhhhhhh!!!!!!!!! Myyygaaaddddd!!!!!! The place was actually far from Taipei but going all the way here was so worth it.

Simple things that can make this fan-girl heart happy. Thank You Lord.
