Writer's picture: sayaramaesayaramae

Dingalan is a a municipality in the province of Aurora in the Central Luzon (Region III) of the Philippines. Also, dubbed as "Batanes of the East". This place is perfect if your planning for a weekend getaway.

The place is so breathtaking. Let me take you to this paradise.

How to get there?

For commuters, you can ride a bus in Cubao (Five Star Bus, Baliwag, or Victory Liner) bound for Cabanatuan City. Approximately 2-3 hours travel time. Once you arrived in Cabanatuan, ride a van bound for Dingalan, Aurora this will take you 1-2 hours travel time. Then ride a tricycle going to feeder port . From there you can already rent a boat going to White Beach where Dingalan Lighthouse is located.

Budget:

Bus from Cubao to Cabanatuan (Php180) - Php 360 RT

Van from Cabanatuan to Dingalan (Php 100) - Php 200 RT

Tricycle from Dingalan to Feeder Port (Php 20) - Php 40 RT

Boat Rental - Php500 You can divide this to your group

Tour Guide - Php100 per person

Essentials:

  • Sun Protection

  • Water at least 1 liter

  • Camera

  • Powerbank

We left manila at exactly 1 AM and we arrived at approximately 6 AM.

This was taken at the Dingalan Feeder Port. We had a short do's and don'ts reminder from the locals before heading to the boat.

Things to do:

White Beach - You can start swimming here. They also offer Boodle fight for lunch. And from the beach shore, you need to trek for about of 30 mins going to the view deck where you can experience the "Batanes of the East" feels.

Light House - It is no longer allowed to visit and was closed when we went there. As per our guide this is due to irresponsible acts of some visitors regarding the Solar Panel inside the lighthouse. This was taken from the view deck. Where you need to trek for another 30 mins if you want to get up close to the light house.

Boodle Fight - And this was one of my favorite part. We had pusit, fish and pakbet.

After eating, we continued the Island hopping. These are the places we visited within the area.

Tanawan Falls - Lastly as our side trip, we went to Brgy. Tanawan. The water was so cold. I don't have an actual picture of the falls because it was a bit rainy at that time and I left my camera in our van. Again, you need to trek for a maximum of 10 to 15 mins going to the falls. You will be rewarded by the cold water perfect for swimming time.

We had a well-spent weekend with the beach, the falls and the beautiful view if Dinangalan. Definitely, a must see.

Take a visit too. You will surely enjoy!
