Barkada Getaway in Riverfront Garden Resort - Maragondon, Cavite

Writer's picture: sayaramaesayaramae

One of the better ways to destress is to leave the metro, even for a few hours, and get yourself a quiet relaxation at Riverfront Resort in Maragondon City.

Well, I'd like to thank our housemate Jeysen for inviting me and my sister on his birthday celebration. I actually forgot to ask how did they came up to the idea of celebrating his birthday in this place or how did they even find this place. Nevertheless, it's a great choice.

How to go there?

We left Manila at around 11 AM in the morning of Sunday. We wanted a less crowded day, so we opted for Sun-Mon schedule. From PITX, we took a bus going to Maragondon/Ternate. Fare is 83 pesos each. Then, we told the driver to drop us at P.U.P. From P.U.P., we rode a tricycle going to the resort. Fare is 40 pesos each or 150 for the special trip.

What to expect?

This is the entrance of the resort. Before entering, a staff assisted us with our reservation.

We booked a deluxe room that can accommodate 5 people. But there are also other options for smaller groups and for those who wanted a day tour only. Below is a picture of me and the birthday girl - oopps I mean birthday boy in front of our room.

After we settled our stuff in our room, we then explore the area. What I like about the place is it's nature feeling vibe. We were surrounded by tress - a lot of trees. They don't have WiFi too. So, it's really a disconnect to the real world if you can control your self not to use your cellular data.

For those who wanted a day tour, they can use these cottages in front of the main pool.

Here are the other rooms available, I bet these are for couples. I think... :) Below are those without air-con.

This kind of room has air-con inside.

A lot of insta-worthy spots inside the resort. They also have these Bali-inspired swing and big nest.

Ooppss please forgive my monay face. :)

They have 3 man-made pools in which 2 of it is facing the riverside. One is a big infinity pool.

At night, we had a barbecue outside our room for dinner.

How nice it is to experience this few hours of solitude with the cup of coffee.

For those, who wanted to visit this resort, here are their rates. You can contact them for reservation if you wanted to stay overnight. I also included the prices of the food available on their restaurant. Unfortunately, they have corkage fee of 400-450 pesos if you want to bring your own food.

I hope this blog somehow helped you in discovering another hidden paradise in the south. Enjoy! Happy Stay-cation.

I'm an ECE by profession and a traveler by heart. A timid, introvert girl who wants to step out of her comfort zone.

I just woke up one day dreaming to discover and experience what life has to offer. I don’t want to lock up myself from the 4 walls of my workplace.

This blog is a personal diary of  my experiences that I wanted to share.
