Bukal Falls : Majestic Falls in Majayjay, Laguna

Laguna, Philippines - is the home of many beautiful waterfalls and one of those lies at the foot of Mount Banahaw. 1709.3ft above sea level is a freezing spring falls named Bukal Falls also called as Kilangin Falls or Maimpis Falls by the locals. The falls is known for its crystal clear and icy cold natural pool with the abundance of green moss surroundings.

Of course the squad, from being a corporate employees on the weekdays transforming into adventurers during weekends planned to enjoy ourselves in two beautiful falls. First on our list is Bukal Falls to be followed by TayTay Falls in the afternoon.

How to get to Bukal Falls

From Cubao/Buendia, take a bus bound for Sta. Cruz. Fare: P140.00 (Travel time – 3 to 4 hours.)

Then, from Sta. Cruz drop-off area, ride a tricycle going to Public Market (Jeepney Terminal) Fare: P25.00

On the jeepney terminal, tell the driver to drop you off at Bukal Falls. Fare: P35.00

Register at the Brgy. Hall and secure a guide going to the falls Environmental Fee: P20.00 Tour Guide fee: P500.00 per 6 pax

There's a actually an option to ride another tricycle from the Brgy. Hall going to the jump-off, but we opted to walk since it's still early in the morning.

It took us for about 30-45 mins to reach Bukal Falls.

Upon reaching the waterfalls, we were amazed by its majestic beauty. It is inviting in a way that we would want to dip in already. We enjoyed ourselves on it's cold and clear water.

This is were we took our brunch - breakfast lunch in one :)

Going back to Manila from Bukal Falls

Take a tricycle and tell the driver to drop you off at the nearest jeepney stop for Sta. Cruz. Fare: 18.00 Take the jeepney going to the bus terminal Fare: P33.00 Take the bus to Manila/Cubao. Fare: P140.00

Another enjoyable trip we've ever done. Bukal Falls is definitely worth our visit.
